Application Process:
1. Submit an application
Apply for admission to CUAA, at no cost: Apply (Veterans should use promo code: CUAAVETS to waive application fees.)
2. Using benefits
First Time Use: If you plan to use your educational benefits for the first time and have not received a Certificate of Eligibility (COE), you will need to apply for your benefits online and begin an application on the Apply for VA Education Benefits webpage as a new user and complete the steps as instructed. Ensure you have your DD214, banking information, and university information ready, as you will be asked for it in the application.
Previous Use: If you have used your benefits before, please submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to Kwesi Betserai (kwesi.betserai@c178.net), VA Certifying Official.
3. Requesting official tanscripts
At CUAA, we value the training and education our service members and Veterans bring to our campus. Training completed during their time in service will be documented within the Joint Service Transcripts (JST) or Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcripts. Service members and Veterans have an opportunity to receive up to 63 transfer credits from these transcripts and have them applied to a program of study of their interest.
Request that official academic transcripts from each institution attended, including DSST & CLEP tests. These should be sent directly from the previous institution to Concordia University. Transcripts issued to the student are not official and cannot be used to evaluate official transfer of credit.
4. Military transcripts
The Joint Services Transcript (JST) has replaced the following:
- Coast Guard Institute Transcript (CGI)
- Army/American Council on Education Registry Transcript System (AARTS)
- Sailor/Marine American Council on Education Registry Transcript (SMART)
To order your official transcript from JST, set up an account here. Print out an unofficial copy for your admissions counselor and order an official copy to be sent to the Mequon Campus (it will be received by the VA Certifying Official office within 48 hours).
Air Force personnel should contact the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to receive transcripts.
5. Admission package completion
Once you’ve completed your steps, we’ll review your application, evaluate your official transcripts for credit completion, and render a decision on your behalf. If you meet or exceed our entrance requirements, you’ll receive a comprehensive acceptance packet outlining many of your next steps. Upon admission to CUAA, your counselor will send your transcripts to the Registrar’s office for an official Transfer Evaluation, detailing the specific program requirements you’ll need to complete before graduation. Students who’ve been admitted and have completed their FAFSA will then receive a financial aid package.
